REVIEW: BLACKHAWK! A.R.C. IWB

04/21/2017By Redaktion

When it comes to IWB or inside-the-waistband holsters, the selection can be quite overwhelming. Especially when it comes to prices. And in general, there are still many questions to answer when looking for the first IWB holster. Such as: where do I really wear it? Where is it most comfortable for me? Appendix, Three o'clock, or Five o'clock? Do I prefer FBI-Carry, do I take 15, 25 or even 35 degrees? Do I want any angle at all? Leather or plastic? High-rise or not?

All these and many more questions can end up costing quite a bit until you finally find a holster with the right carry option. To at least be able to answer some of these questions inexpensively (and this can only be done through wearing and shooting, not through a five-minute test), we would like to introduce you to the A.R.C. IWB Holster from Blackhawk! here.

Basically, it is a simple injection-molded plastic holster, which, however, with its adjustment options and low price, is worth a second look. The holster comes with two plastic clips for different belt widths (1.5" and 1.75"), a slotted screw, and a square-shaped nut. The first step is to adjust the desired draw resistance. Then you grab the appropriate belt clip and decide whether you want to carry your weapon on the left or right. With this model, you can change this as user-friendly as you want. And now, you can start trying it out. Whether it's appendix, six o'clock, or even cross-draw just for fun, higher or lower - almost anything is possible. This way, the user, whether completely new (for whom this holster is certainly most beneficial) or experienced, has the opportunity to try out new or different ways of carrying, whether they actually suit them or not, before potentially getting a completely new holster. Of course, you can also stick with the A.R.C. holster. A small dab of glue on the screws and you're good to go. For around 30€, you have a usable (first) and versatile inside-the-waistband holster that also serves well as a backup in your range pack. This way, you can even support your "left" comrades.

CONCLUSION: Not over-the-top, but at this price, you can't go wrong with this product.

Available at all retailers carrying Blackhawk! Price: ~30,–
