REVIEW: Blackfolium ISKIT

Being well camouflaged is important, but sometimes you'd rather be well seen. Of course, you can carry around a classic VS-17 Signal Panel with you, but that can be heavy and bulky in the long run. From BLACKFOLIUM there is now a lightweight, compact alternative, the ISKIT.

ISKIT stands for Individual Signaling Kit. But what do you get in this set? Firstly, a 6 cm wide and 21.5 cm long Cordura case with two compartments and a rubber loop. The signal mirror in the picture here has been privately added because it is very practical.

Secondly, a Mini 4 inch/10 cm glow stick in Green or Infrared (IR). In the picture, you see the IR version.

Finally, a H70 Signal Panel in luminous orange and signal pink. To fold it back nicely, you need a quiet moment and some time.

When packed together, the ISKIT is only 10 x 7 x 4 cm in size and fits perfectly in your pants pocket. So always on the go.

It is closed with an elastic cord in signal orange. You can see it clearly in the dark.

We replaced the IR glow stick with a modified LED Flexi-Light from Northern Diver in green. The light is secured with a cord of about one meter.

This allows you to draw attention to yourself perfectly at night by grasping the case and rotating the light.

The H70 Signal Panel is 70 x 70 cm in size and divided into orange and pink. Both with the prefix "Signal".

In the corners you will find fixed sewn cords to tie down the panel.

In the middle of each color field, the H70 Panel is equipped with a small Velcro area for IR reflector patches.

If you don't feel like or have time to fold the panel back nicely, you can easily stuff it into your jacket pocket.

Thanks to the signal colors, you stand out from the gray crowd with the ISKIT. Both in the forest and in the urban jungle.

At 300 m you will definitely be seen. Up to 1,000 m should definitely not be a problem in daylight.

CONCLUSION: The ISKIT from BLACKFOLIUM is a compact way to have everything you need to be seen. A survival kit for the field and also for the urban jungle. And if you get bored, you can practice folding the signal panel back so small that it can be put back into the bag.
