REVIEW: BEYOND Men's Testa Softshell K5 Pant

Winter is coming. And so it's time to focus on the attire that will get us through the cold season. Requirement: we don't want to be cold. Since it's difficult to rely on climate change, we prefer to go for a pair of BEYOND CLOTHING pants. The Men's Testa Softshell K5 is designed to be used from zero degrees. ...and it's also very comfortable to wear. The secret lies in the fabric that the pants are made of. Softshell, like in a jacket, lined with fine fleece. In other words: if you don't want to wear these in winter, you'll be hot.

The waistband is buttoned in a classic way, and you can see how well it was sewn here.

BEYOND opts for a practical zipper on the fly.

The inner waistband is softly padded. Moreover, you can see the attachment points for suspenders, which is practical.

All common belt models up to 50 mm fit in the belt loops.

The pockets of the pants are not open, they are concealed and have a zipper.

The zipper pull is small and practical for opening and closing the Softshell Pant.

Inside view, this is the fluffy fleece that keeps you warm. The fabric on the right and left beside it belongs to the air conditioning system.

The thigh pockets are in place, featuring practical zipper pulls.

There it is, the air conditioning. The mesh on the thighs and all other pocket openings allows for adjusting the interior temperature somewhat. In motion: open everything up and let the cool air circulate.

Softshell pants are quite rare for us, which makes them all the more impressive. The K5 is extremely comfortable, with a cut that resembles loose jeans.

Once again, there is the integrated air conditioning.

Bottom of the leg, straight and without adjustments. The small slits, as the manufacturer imagines, are openings to thread paracord through, which can then be wrapped around the shoes at the bottom to prevent the pants from riding up in rough terrain. A somewhat primitive idea; in demanding terrain, we of course use gaiters, so there's no need to damage the pants.

Here's another look at the leg, with the entire pant lined with fleece. There's no inner waistband to keep out the cold.

CONCLUSION: Cool pants in a casual BEYOND style. Nice and warm for winter, yet with a minimalist design that is relaxed and sporty, just the way we like it. Softshell pants are not common here, but they are very comfortable for cold weather and outdoor activities.
