REVIEW: Best Protection Secutor QRS

The Secutor in antiquity did not really have an easy time: helmet with round eyeholes, one arm armored and padded, and shield and sword were his precisely defined equipment for the arena. With the Secutor QRS from BEST PROTECTION, one enters the modern arena equipped differently: the entire upper body is heavily protected here. We have exclusively inspected the new Best Protection Secutor QRS for you.

The Secutor QRS from the side front. Plenty of MOLLE to turn the vest into what the man ultimately needs. At least in terms of pocket configuration. Otherwise, the Secutor has a lot to offer: the medium size here completely covers a 1.90-meter man. And this is even though we closed the side security somewhat sloppily.

MOLLE and Velcro on the chest are a practical combination. Here, a patch can be attached or the admin panel. You can see nicely the tabs coming from the back part, they are not just threaded somewhere, but sewn on. Size adjustment and adaptation takes place on the back part.

On the right side is the release loop for the quick release system - "Quick Release System," hence the name Secutor QRS. Just pull it once and the vest quickly releases in case of an emergency and can be dropped.

In the image on the right, you can see the trigger on the back of the vest: Further down, the solution for the release system can be recognized: The straps from the front and the minimal cummerbund come together at one point and are secured by a loop through which the release cable goes. When pulled, the parts detach and the vest can be dropped.

The inside is covered with mesh to allow air to flow through the man. At the bottom, a small strap with Velcro is visible. It is mounted on the back panel, which is first strapped to the man. Then comes the very small cummerbund, which is Velcroed to the sides of the man and secured with a flap to the front of the Secutor. The armor is then closed.

The large space easily accommodates a Soft Armour Level 1, which covers the upper body surface.

View inside without Soft Armour: here, you can still see an integrated plate pocket that accommodates a plate SK4. When equipped with this, the Secutor can unleash its full protective effect.
