REVIEW: BE-X Allman's Bushcraft

This review discusses the Allemans knife by BE-X, comparing the Bushcraft and Tactical versions. The Bushcraft version has a smoother blade, making it ideal for outdoor tasks like woodwork. Despite unknown origin, the knife offers good quality and performance for its price. The 440C steel is a good balance between edge retention and sharpenability. Overall, the BE-X Allemans Bushcraft is recommended for outdoor enthusiasts. Price is 49.90 EUR through Begadi Shop.

As promised, here is a second look at the Allemans by BE-X, which also has a "Bushcraft" version. You can read all the basic features in the review of the Allemans Tactical HERE. The characteristics of the knives are generally the same, except for a few, more or less, important differences: The blade on the Bushcraft version is not black anodized. Which somehow would be cool for a pure outdoor knife, but that is of course a matter of taste!

The blade on the Bushcraft version is smoothly sharpened, without any serrations. This certainly makes tasks like woodwork or cutting meat much easier. Makes perfect sense for outdoor enthusiasts!

Well, that's all with the differences. The pacifistic Allemans has the same large accessories, like the versatile sheath, paracord, etc. Quality, handling, and weight are convincing, especially in terms of price-performance ratio, also absolutely here!

The 440C steel is absolutely okay. Nowadays, it's a kind of "middle ground" between edge retention and sharpenability.

What is negative nowadays: unfortunately, nowhere can you find out which beautiful country this Allemans comes from. From the name, we would guess France, but from the price, probably China. But: (almost) no one knows!

CONCLUSION: Whether for Bushcraft beginners, as a rough-use knife to spare the "expensive" one (then why did you have it in the first place?), or simply as a reliable partner for all activities in nature, the BE-X Allemans Bushcraft convinces. You can't really go wrong here. By the way: in the Begadi Shop, there are also replacement handle scales in Olive or Beige.

Price: 49.90 EUR for example directly through Begadi, here is the Bushcraft Edition. And here is the tactical version.
