REVIEW: ALTAMA OTB Maritime Assault LOW

Winter is coming. But you have to set priorities: Do it with style! And that's where you can't avoid the ALTAMA OTB Maritime Assault - now in the LOW version and in the glorious Multicam Black color. We have already presented the Mid in our review in detail, so now only the essentials.
Now let's get to the point: Low. Looks like a classic fabric shoe, but with a thick body made of mesh.

Even if you want the shoe now, it won't make you happy during the winter. The reason is simple: it's a rock boot designed for diving. In the picture, you see the opening to let water run out. We're not revealing a secret when we say: where water can run out, it can also easily get in. But the professional idea behind the shoe is that you can stand in the water, take off your fins, and casually walk ashore.

Here you can see the thickness of the mesh construction. And we've already made a change: there's a rubber insert inside, which is great when the wearer goes into the shoe with neoprene socks because everything flushes out in the water. It's sweaty for everyday wear on land, so we replace it with a civilian insert.

The shoe is laced. If you have style, make sure that nothing is twisted. The Altama Low pair in the great outdoors. The Altamas are narrow, they are the only shoes where we really take a size larger. In this case, 46 instead of 45. Has a bit of room, fits perfectly.

CONCLUSION: Great shoes from a tactical manufacturer. Winter is not quite their season, local rain could be dangerous if it's too much. But don't worry: it'll drain off. HERE is the full review of the Mid version again.
