Just now he was still seen at the ENFORCE TAC and IWA 2024 trade shows, now he has landed with us and will soon be available to everyone from March 28th: the new AGILITE Magnetix Battle Belt with all its exciting features. We would like to introduce him to you here in a First Look.
First, the Inner Belt. This looks a bit different from the usual belts, which mostly consist of velcro and a simple buckle. Already visible at the back are the two magnets that give the AGILITE Battle Belt its name, but we will come back to their functionality later.
Threading the belt is easy. The width is standardized and fits easily into common combat pants or jeans with 4.5 cm.
When closing, make sure that the protruding stiffener of the belt is inserted into the slot provided for it.
Then the velcro end can be looped through the eyelet and closed. This way, the belt has optimal strength and is also suitable for carrying concealed holsters.
Another advantage of the Inner Belts is that it is somewhat flexible. A tight rubber band on the eyelet ensures a secure fit, or loosens slightly if the lunch menu presses more than planned.
It takes some practice to place the magnets in the middle at the back. In our case, the metal eyelet at the front also had to be in the middle for everything to be in the correct place. A uncomfortable feeling from the two embedded magnetic snaps could not be felt.
Now let's move on to the main part of the belt. The Outer Belt, here already loaded a bit to see how it performs.
Here too, the stiffening of the belt has been extended to provide more stability, as well as to allow additional MOLLE spaces when the belt is set wider.
To put it on, the belt can be conveniently placed at the back and the magnets do what magnets do. They attract.
A positively felt click sound, and the belt is securely fastened in the middle at the back, and can be comfortably closed towards the front.
Similar to the Inner Belt mentioned earlier, the wearer should also insert the mentioned stiffener into the corresponding pocket on the belt and then close it.
Make sure the stiffener is well secured. Otherwise, it may slip out at the bottom and make the belt somewhat unstable. If necessary, the buckle can also be threaded through the MOLLE loops for added stability.
This is how the belt looks neatly closed at the front. Everything is centered, everything fits and feels good. A size Medium was chosen for the Magnetix Belt. For comparison: Jeans size is about 31-32".
Side view: Here are three pistol magazine pouches. As with other manufacturers, they can be attached diagonally using the MOLLE system if desired.
Rear view: Everything is centered and fits well. There is enough space for a potential IFAK and other pouches. As you can see, everything is very precisely and thickly stitched, which is important.
Holsters can be easily threaded. The webbing for adjusting the width is also held securely and fixed with a bungee cord. With the interior Velcro areas, accessories such as a tourniquet pouch or others can be attached.
Here is a detailed view of the threaded magazine pouch. As expected from other belts, it works well and ensures a secure fit. Also visible in the center of the belt is the belt loop that goes all around, providing high tensile strength for the belt.
Speaking of tensile strength: the belt comes in two versions. One with a certificate as a safety belt, and one without an issued certificate. The latter is what we have reviewed here. Those who require a certificate need to contact AGILITE and request one. Structurally, the versions are the same.
Here is a top view of the different layers of the belt when it is closed. Not particularly thicker than other manufacturers.
As a little bonus, here is a comparison to the Bison Belt from FERRO CONCEPTS. The Cobra buckle is the same Cobra Mini from AUSTRIA ALPIN.
The thickness of the belts is almost identical. No big difference.
However, it is noticeable that the Magnetix Battle Belt does not use conventional Tegris.
Here is a detailed view of the belt ends. Left AGILITE Magnetix Battle Belt - right FERRO CONCEPTS Bison Belt.
Finally, a detailed view of the back part. Here you can see the thicker seams. Also interesting is that the entire Cordura laminate is laser-cut and wrapped around the belt. This reduces the number of individual parts and also ensures better durability.
CONCLUSION: The Magnetix Battle Belt from AGILITE is more than just a solid belt. The magnets are a practical feature and ensure a perfect fit when putting on and taking off. It may be a bit inconvenient if you want to put on the belt over a thick jacket, as the magnets won't work as effectively, and it could also cause the holster position to shift too much. Another potential inconvenience could be opening the belt for bathroom breaks. The inserted stiffeners that provide additional support to the belt can be a bit cumbersome in this situation.
Overall, the system provides a stable, comfortable belt that can also deliver the performance of a "Certified Belt". The price of the belt is just under 210 euros on the website, making it a good alternative to existing options on the market. You can get the Magnetix Battle Belt HERE directly from AGILITE.
