Allegedly, one must cross seven bridges to find happiness. Thanks to the Helmet Bridge by Agilite, only one bridge is needed for helmet happiness. We briefly introduced it to you before, but now we have had it in our hands.
The Helmet Bridge is a modular platform that is attached to the helmet using Velcro and provides space for blink lights, counterweights, battery packs, and of course patches. It also has some attachment points. The model in the picture is in Ranger Green.
This is what the Helmet Bridge looks like without a helmet. A T-shaped thing with a lot of Velcro and rubber.
The bottom is full of hook Velcro. Thanks to its strength, the bridge sticks to the helmet where there are normally Velcro areas to attach something.
The cross piece is made of elastic band and comes in two lengths. If you want, you can leave it out, but we warn that the Helmet Bridge will not hold securely on the helmet. It's no longer a bridge...
Since your helmet has the classic side and back Velcro areas, the bridge installation is really simple. Just place it straight and press everything firmly. Done!
On the back, you will find a pocket for counterweights or battery packs for the night vision device. The stylish Agilite patch is included. The compartment is open at the bottom, so you can easily lead any cables out and forward on the helmet side. Here we have opted for a simple variant without weaving and use the front crossbar to secure the path of the cable.
Under the Velcro flap, there is an adjustment for the compartment width, so everything fits snugly on the head. The particularly good thing about it: the valuable battery compartment for the night vision device is no longer mounted alone at the back of the helmet and cannot be lost. The Bridge takes care of it. And with the bungee cord, it can be tightened so that everything fits well. At the same time, the compartment is elastic in case a lot needs to go in.
On both sides, there are also two rubber loops sewn in. Glow sticks or AA batteries fit here, so there is always enough energy available.
There is a 20-centimeter long Velcro strip over the crown—for example for strobes (here an MS2000). A bungee cord for securing is already integrated into the Helmet Bridge. This way, the strobe won't get lost either. The cable running on the right can also be woven into the bungee cord to securely lead it forward to the night vision device.
CONCLUSION: The Agilite Helmet Bridge provides a solid platform for your helmet accessories. Especially useful if you have multiple helmets. Simply remove the equipped bridge from one helmet and attach it to another. This is faster and less stressful than attaching everything individually. At the same time, the Bridge offers an ideal platform to securely store everything that goes on a modern helmet. HERE is a video about the Bridge.
