REVIEW: 155mm M4A2 Powder Container

We really like waterproof containers. That's where the "Artillery Powder Charge Container for 155mm M4A2" comes in, which found its way to us through 365+ Tactical. We took a detailed look at it.

This good piece measures about 67 x 21 x 21 cm and weighs 2.4 kg empty – with the cardboard tube inside. The nubs provide the necessary grip when stacking multiple containers. On the other side, there are matching indentations.

The lid from above. Our Artillery Powder Charge Container seems to have been used by Spanish forces. "Abrir" means "Open" and "Cerrar" means "Close". Quite simple, actually. To open, first loosen the nut in the middle and then the entire lid. By the way, it has a diameter of 20 cm.

Since the screw cap is a bit difficult to grip, it is recommended to tie a paracord loop. With that, opening – and especially closing tightly – is no longer a problem, even with wet hands.

The lid consists of a total of four parts, including the sealing rubber. If you really want to seal it waterproof, you have to tighten the lid completely first and then tighten the nut in the middle. We have gone into the water several times with it and even submerged it. Everything inside stayed dry. A flotation device of a different kind.

The interior offers you a lot of space. The whole thing is about 61 cm deep and the internal diameter at the opening is 17.5 cm. After opening, it gets a bit larger, approximately 20 cm. So the Artillery Powder Charge Container offers you about 15 liters of volume. The stacking nubs and the corresponding indentations are nice to see.

On the outside, you will find a loop. This is usually used for sealing purposes, but it is also perfect for a paracord line. The Artillery Powder Charge Container is also suitable as a container for burying. The earth depot is a safe hiding place, but it also works well in a damp cellar.

CONCLUSION: The Artillery Powder Charge Container does what it is supposed to do. It keeps things inside safe from weather influences. A suitable container for supplies of all kinds. It also makes a good flotation device.
