The Estonian Ministry of Defence signed a 40 million Euro framework agreement with Eurospike on June 24, 2019 for the delivery of SPIKE LR ATGM's, carrier rockets, as well as related maintenance and training.

Eurospike is a European joint venture between Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, Diehl Defence and Rheinmetall Defence.

The order includes ICLU (Integrated Control Launch Units) carrier rockets and SPIKE missiles.
SPIKE is a state-of-the-art, precise, multi-platform, multi-mission electro-optical missile family with the capabilities of fire-and-forget as well as fire, observe and update, enabling attacks on hidden targets.

Estonia is the 32nd user nation of the SPIKE missile and the 19th user among EU and NATO. More than 30,000 SPIKE missiles have been delivered worldwide so far, and over 5,500 of them have been fired in both training and operations.

The use of SPIKE missiles enables nations to manage shared SPIKE missile stocks, create joint procurement, and ensure mutual support. Combined with local production within Europe by local SMEs, SPIKE is truly a common European missile.
