ELBIT SYSTEMS Ltd has received orders to supply electronic self-protection equipment for aircraft to a country in the Asia-Pacific region over the next five years. The contracts involve providing a comprehensive EW suite and the Mini-MUSIC™ DIRCM system, enhancing helicopter survivability against missile threats in complex combat environments.
ELBIT SYSTEMS Ltd. announced yesterday that it has received orders worth a total of approximately $275 million to supply electronic self-protection (EW) equipment for aircraft, including its Direct Infra-Red Counter-Measure (DIRCM) system, to a country in the Asia-Pacific region. The orders will be executed over a period of 5 years.
Under these contracts, ELBIT SYSTEMS will supply a comprehensive EW suite designed to protect a specific type of helicopter from missile threats, thereby enhancing the survivability and mission effectiveness of the aircraft. The solution integrates state-of-the-art electronic sensors, signal processing, and countermeasures to provide early warning, threat detection, and automated response to a wide range of threats. In addition, the company will supply the Mini-MUSIC™ DIRCM system, which protects small and medium-sized rotary and fixed-wing aircraft from incoming threats using advanced laser and tracking technologies. Based on years of experience and hundreds of thousands of flight hours in military environments, Mini-MUSIC™ detects and disrupts incoming missiles, ensuring the safety of the aircraft and its occupants. The systems are tailored to the specific helicopter platform and operational requirements of the customer, providing robust protection in complex combat environments. These contracts complement numerous agreements that the company has concluded in recent years in the field of airborne self-protection solutions with various countries, including NATO and European states.
