Project MBAS - This is the new armor.

08/24/2017By Redaktion

We love our readers, they are attentive and work with us. Immediately after the article about the Swiss project "Modular Clothing and Equipment System for Military Operations" (MBAS), we receive images that clearly show where the Swiss army wants to go with the new gear for men. And what we see pleases us. Swiss soldiers can look forward to something like this: The combination, which is now going into field testing and then being adapted, consists of a freely configurable assault belt/war belt as the first line. Above that, we see a mixed system consisting of a plate carrier that has a chest rig clipped in here.

This is good and sensible, because this combination means that both the plate carrier can be equipped and worn alone, as well as the chest rig alone when no protective plates are needed. The rig then has an extra carrying system, which is not needed in the combined use shown here. The zipper in the middle is also good, making it easier to put on and take off the chest rig. The pocket system is clearly MOLLE and therefore flexible enough to be adapted to different needs and possible uses with just a few simple steps. There he stands, the brave Swiss soldier in the system in the trial color olive. From the chic Swiss woman he gets his chest rig. A backpack is also visible in the picture. We will keep you updated on the ongoing development. CLICK HERE for PROJECT MBAS on SPARTANAT.
