Practical Long Range Match in Denmark on May 11/12.

On May 11th and 12th, 2019, the team from Practical Long Range is organizing the first PLR Match in Denmark. As the name suggests, the focus will be on Long Range shots at distances up to 1,000 meters, which are only partially taken from a secure prone position. This is loosely based on competition series such as PRS/NRL from the USA or Viking Rifle Series from Scandinavia. The organization and the RO team are completely in German hands and the competition will take place at the Borris Range near Skjern, Denmark. Dynamic Long Range formats place special demands on shooters, as, similar to IPSC, they have to shoot multiple targets at different distances from unstable positions under time pressure, as opposed to static competitions such as the Long Shot in Poland.

Since this format is new to many, the competition will not start until Saturday afternoon. The morning will be dedicated to familiarizing oneself with the different positions and training for the competition. The match will take place in a friendly atmosphere and is intended to provide an insight into dynamic Long Range shooting. The competition will be supported by 5.11 STORE HAMBURG.
