Police and military forces in Münster

04/13/2015By Redaktion

As a trade fair and conference for the police as well as for authorities and organizations with security tasks, IPOMEX® in Münster has long been established. From April 14 to 16, the event will draw further, even more international circles: The NATO Support Agency (NSPA), a branch of the North Atlantic Defense Alliance, will hold its fifth procurement conference for the first time at the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland. Embedded therein is the Defense EXPO trade fair, which provides an overview of the latest military equipment.

Throughout Europe, police and military are working increasingly closely together and pooling their resources according to requirements. In addition to radar systems and vehicles, the wide range of offerings from internationally positioned exhibitors also includes uniforms, weapons, and night vision technology. The NSPA is seeking contact with these qualified companies. The Defense EXPO and the associated NLSE-Conference (NATO Logistics Stock Exchange) provide the ideal forum to further open up markets for the necessary procurements.

The NLSE was founded in 2000 and is funded by the states that have joined the COMMIT partnership agreement (Common Item Management). The goal is to support customers and suppliers with logistics concepts. Furthermore, the conference brings together users, suppliers, and national representatives. Current topics include ensuring supply sources and cooperation among armed forces. Potential for long-term agreements is also explored.

ipomex_messe1A special aspect is the access to new markets that the Defense EXPO is now intended to open up. Renowned international companies have already confirmed their participation and will present themselves here. Exhibitors from all over Europe will showcase BOS equipment, non-lethal weapons, and self-defense tools. What the police, as well as emergency services, fire departments, and disaster relief will work with tomorrow, is already being showcased today at IPOMEX®: Here, decision-makers from authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS) meet.

Buyers, technicians, and users of police technology, international police representatives as well as customs, penitentiaries, and forensic clinics staff use the opportunity for exchange of views, as well as employees from municipal administrations.

The trade fair is complemented by expert lectures on current topics. On the second day of the fair, for example, control center concepts and the technical equipment of control centers are the focus. This time, it is themed: "The Control Center - the center of communication for authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS)". Emphasis is placed on the connection to digital radio and the added value that technical developments and features of digital radio offer now and in the future.

ipomex_kongress1User and company presentations will introduce operations management, leadership, and geoinformation systems. The use of social media in control centers is also possible, with IT security also playing a role. The target audience includes leaders and decision-makers of BOS, federal and state police authorities, fire departments, aid organizations, and disaster relief.

IPOMEX® and Defense EXPO are open on April 14 and 15 from 9 am to 5 pm and on April 16 from 9 am to 4 pm. Visitors to IPOMEX® are automatically entitled to visit the Defense Expo, and vice versa.
