POLAND: This is how times are changing.

The Polish Minister of Defense has announced that Poland will deploy the largest ground forces in the EU. The army will grow from 150,000 to 400,000 personnel and will receive over 1,000 modern combat tanks.

?? And an initial batch of 180 K2, which seem to be the new standard battle tank for Poland.

What's interesting is that the Polish are using a total of three battle tanks, with the Abrams serving as a quick replacement for the T-72 fleet gifted to Ukraine. However, the German Leopard remains unchanged. Poland is upset about the non-functional "swap deal". Instead, the Polish are opening the door widely to the Koreans: 820 K2PL will be available from 2026, produced by Poland & South Korea. And in the long run, the goal is K3PL.
