PIRANHA IFV new: now with unmanned turret

General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) will present a new variant of its modern 8×8 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle PIRANHA IFV at the XIII International Defense Exhibition HEMUS 2018, which will take place from May 30 to June 2 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The PIRANHA IFV will be equipped with the latest unmanned turret Elbit UT30MK2. This turret features an Orbital ATK 30mm weapon system MK44 Dual Feed, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, two anti-tank guided weapons (ATGW), and a modern digital communication and information system (CIS) from General Dynamics Mission Systems. The PIRANHA IFV is undergoing evaluation for the Battalion Battle Group (BBG) procurement project of the Bulgarian Army.
