The PIRANHA Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) was presented to the Bulgarian Army on April 27. The military unit Tylbeto in Kazanlak organized the demonstration together with General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), General Dynamics Mission Systems, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The PIRANHA could be selected in an ongoing procurement project of the army.
The vehicle in 8X8 configuration is equipped with a 30mm NATO-compliant remotely controlled gun according to the requirements of the Bulgarian Army, along with an anti-tank missile as armament. A complete communication and information center was also installed in the demonstration vehicle.
