TROMOS means "Decay". TROMOS 2017 was the first state exercise in Austria on May 5, 2017, dedicated to the theme of terrorism. Scenario: Terrorist attack at a major event. Purpose: Cooperation between emergency services of rescue, police, and military. We are only selecting the interesting gear shots: In the image above, the military police is advancing. They are being set up as a strong support force for urban areas, with heavy plate carriers, helmets with full face shields, and direct action against terrorism as the goal.

Very exciting are the gentlemen from the Cobra Special Forces, as they are showcasing their completely new equipment. The new uniforms in RAL7013 are the excellent sets from UF-PRO. In terms of plate carriers and backpacks, this police Tier 1 unit has recently been relying quite consistently on Tasmanian Tiger. If you are newly equipped from head to toe, you have received a new helmet from MSA Gallet with a rail system at the top. At the bottom, wearing Lowa Zephyr boots. It's nice to see the UF-PRO uniform. This operator did not rely on a paint job for his AUG, but used Multicam tape.

Paramedics, army medics (presumably from the 25th Jaeger Battalion) and Cobra operators together in the exercise. Funny that the army is sometimes better equipped: the Ops-Core Sentry helmet is preferred over the also good MSA Gallet. An interesting comparison: a heavy protective vest from the army on the right, and a super light Tasmanian Tiger Plate Carrier LC on the Cobra man on the left.

Hardened for the target: New to the Cobra is the Achleitner PMV SURVIVOR II. It has quite a German appearance and still bears company markings.
