Photo File takes another look into the crate: The Eotech 553 comes as part of the new SOPMOD Block 2. The military designation is SU-231/PEQ. The second part of the designation reveals what type of device it is: P - Human Portable, E - Laser, Q - Special or Combination. The left side with the markings and mounts. The color of SU-231/PEQ is very difficult to reproduce photographically. The metallic surface is not as bronze in reality as it appears in the picture. The actual appearance is captured quite well in this operational image.
