How do you transport your gear needed for a land mission, while keeping it dry during an approach underwater? The answer to this question is the SI Tech Dry Pack. The backpack comes from a Swedish company, but is mainly used by the Navy SEALs - but also by Marine Recons, Army SF, and Deltas. SPARTANAT has examined such a rare specimen that was never available on the civilian market. The backpack looks a bit like a barrel and it lacks shoulder straps. No wonder, as they rely on what works. The Dry Pack is strapped to an ALICE frame if you want to use it as a backpack. Otherwise, the whole system resembles a drysuit: oxygen can be blown into the waterproof pack through a bottle or mouthpiece, allowing it to be buoyant at the desired depth underwater.
