Recently, a lot of Western optics have been seen with the Russians - especially with the special forces. This seems to be changing, with domestic production catching up. And even with the new Ratnik package - the Russian "infantryman of the future" - optics are included. Collimator 1P87 is somewhat the Russian answer to EOTech.
These are the technical data for the device. And the price is also listed.
1P87 seen from the front left. The large button is On/Off and brightness levels.
Seen from the back left, you can clearly see the Russian inscription: 1P87.
The optic here is mounted on a Jupiter Mount, which can be attached to the side rail of an AK74M. With the new AKs for the Ratnik System, a mount is not needed since they have a rail on the housing cover.
In the side view, you can see how "straight" the thing is designed. The 1P87 alone weighs 298 grams.
On the front left, the battery compartment. The Russian prefers simple, cheap AA batteries. The height and windage adjustment of the optic are open on the front and side. The inscription also tells you what each click does.
View from the back. Very solid body, small field of view.
You can also see how massive the optic is here. There are 9 brightness levels, plus two or three for night vision.
You can also see the two adjustment screws very well here.
View through the optic. We're not entirely clear which reticle will be used in the end, it could be that this one is for 7.62.
On the other hand, this one could be for 5.45. But as mentioned, it's not clear. In the Russian link at the end of the article, you can see two other variants.
Naturally, 1P87 also works with night vision.
1P87 also has its own magnifier labeled PK130. It provides the shooter with three times magnification with a single handle.
