The soldier in the picture is wearing it: the H4855 Selex/Marconi Personal Role Radio (PRR). This small radio is mainly used by the British Army, as well as by the Australians and the US Marines. It weighs 1.5 kg, has a range of 500m (even in built-up areas), and the batteries last for 20 hours of continuous use. It uses the 2.4 GHz band and has no encryption.
