The Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggle 18 by L3 Warrior Systems, a part of Insight Technology, is a variation of the panoramic NVGs designed for pilots. The advantage: Normal night vision devices have 18mm tubes with a 45 degree field of view while the panoramic model has four smaller tubes (16mm) that expand the entire field of view to 95 degrees. SPARTANAT shows you the images of the GPNVG18.

After the system was initially designed for pilots, the battery pack, which is mounted on the back of the helmet, resembles ANVIS.

Here are some views from all sides, at the bottom left you can see the GPNVG18 in the transport packaging. The thing is so expensive that you can see a hard case in a soft cover.

Screenshot from the movie "Zero Dark Thirty," which depicts the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. The men here are said to be DEVGRU operators, using the GPNVG18 during the operation.

Scan from the book "No Easy Day" by former DEVGRU member using the pseudonym "Mark Owen," providing the first eyewitness account of Osama's end.
