MARSOC's use of third-generation Crye Suits in Woodland is discussed, noting issues with Flame Resistant (FR) material. Prototype AC suits for MARSOC are speculated upon based on images provided. The G3 Suits in Woodland are highlighted for their use of regular 50/50 NyCo material. Differences in spandex inserts and color are noted. Pricing information for the suits is included, emphasizing the affordability of these exclusive patterns. Additionally, a recommendation is made to check out Toy Soldier for G3 Suit options.
Apparently, a few other prototype AC suits were made for MARSOC, as can be speculated from looking at these pictures.
It is also very likely not "custom work" done by Crye. This can be inferred from the label indicating the material used. In the case of "custom work," this would not be the case.
If the author remembers correctly, both suits (Field and Combat) were priced at around 800USD to 900USD, which is approximately 200USD to 225USD per piece of clothing. Considering what one usually pays for exclusive patterns like AOR, this is truly a bargain …
And here is the Field Shirt to go with it.
If you are interested in a G3 Suit, you should check out Toy Soldier. They offer the Trousers for 199.9USD and the Shirt for 159.9USD, also using original 50/50 NyCo.
