SPARTANAT takes another look in the box: this time we want to treat ourselves to a classic SOF optic. The ACOG from Trijicon has long crowned the M4A1, which was also used by the SEALs. The Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) (here also the technical data) was the SOPMOD Block 1 optic, which was later upgraded with a small red dot on the back. But let's take a closer look at the pure TA01NSN ACOG. All images can be clicked to enlarge.
The first thing that catches the eye is the velvety black finish of the optic. The Backup Iron Sight (BUIS), on the other hand, remains metallic gray.
On the left side, there is a scan logo for digital inventory.
The Trijicon ACOG logo lettering is cast with the housing. Between the body and mount, you can see a few letters, the Bible code. Trijicon has indulged in the absurd practice of putting Bible quotes on its optics.
Detailed view of the left side. For the mounting screw, there are various parts - like from LaRue - with which you can quickly mount the optic.
For those who want to take a look ...
...see a nice garden :))
