PEPPERBALL for the Bundeswehr

The Bundeswehr is expanding its range of operations to include non-lethal options through the acquisition of a new generation of non-lethal weapons from Pepperball. The Bundeswehr Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Utilization of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) contracted with POL-TEC GmbH & Co. KG to deliver these innovative solutions and is therefore significantly involved in the modernization of equipment.

Why non-lethal weapons?

The requirements for modern armed forces are constantly changing. Especially in operations where de-escalation is required or civilian persons are involved, non-lethal weapons offer a crucial tactical advantage. With the new system, the Bundeswehr receives an effective alternative between direct physical confrontation and the use of live ammunition. With the award of the contract to POL-TEC, the Bundeswehr is relying on an experienced and reliable partner in the field of tactical equipment. The company has the relevant expertise in the procurement and provision of specialized operational equipment for military and governmental users. The maximum total value of the contract is 3.6 million euros
