Discover how to easily find the North Star using the W-shaped constellation Cassiopeia, visible year-round. Learn how to connect the outer stars to navigate towards the North Star with this simple and practical method.
Finding the North Star with the help of the constellation Cassiopeia is a very easy way. Cassiopeia is the W in the night sky and therefore easy to remember. Another advantage is that Cassiopeia is visible almost all year round.
Once you have found Cassiopeia, you will quickly realize that the W is not quite symmetrical. This is important to know later! Connect the two outer stars with an imaginary line. Now at a right angle and you're heading towards the North Star.
