Ops-Core lands at the Bundesheer

The Austrian Armed Forces are receiving new combat helmets that are lighter and allow for the mounting of additional tools. Defense Minister Doskozil handed over 20 helmets to soldiers, with a total of 20,000 expected to be delivered by the end of the year. OPS-CORE is the manufacturer of the helmets.

Now it has been unveiled: the Austrian Armed Forces are getting new helmets. Here they are. Defense Minister Doskozil symbolically handed over 20 new combat helmets to the soldiers of the 33rd Hunter Battalion from Zwölfaxing, the 19th Hunter Battalion from Güssing, and to the militia soldiers of the Tulln Hunter Company. In total, the delivery of around 20,000 helmets is expected to start by the end of the year.

ops2The new helmets are lighter than the previous model, the „Large“ size version weighs only 800 grams. In addition, the high cut shape allows wearing of ear protection, and additional tools such as lamps or night vision devices can be mounted on the side rails.
