Actually, what we see under the helmet is not really glasses, but a night vision device that the man is looking through. However, it looks like glasses and is a new invention by Ops-Core. Instead of the rubber caps that reduce the glow around the eyes of the night vision device, they use these pieces.
Snap Shields look like glasses without the middle. This is where the view from the night vision device comes in.
The assembly is very easy. Here we see an AN/PVS-15, that's what these things are made for. And the Snap Shields now have an interesting color, which surely is not meant to be fashionable. This pink lens is specifically designed to filter the glow of the green tubes, so that the operator is not seen at night. It doesn't work with White Phosphor yet ...
At the same time, the operator has the possibility to see something from the corner of his eyes, because the Snap Shields are transparent. The "glasses" also protect the eyes and prevent the night vision device from fogging up with more airflow. We find this idea very interesting, and we are curious to see if these parts will prove themselves in practice. HERE you can get the Swap Shields directly from Gentex/Ops-Core.
