North Korea: Poor man's Armata

The M2020 tank, known as Cheonma-2 in North Korea, combines features from American, Russian, and Iranian tanks. While North Korea is not known for its tanks, the M2020 likely serves more as propaganda than a significant battlefield asset.

Somehow one of the intriguing tanks. M2020 was presented in North Korea in the same year, by the way it is called Cheonma-2 ("천마-2호"). Now, North Korea is not a big tank nation, but they draw inspiration from outside: Visually, the M2020 tank seems to be a mix of the American M1 Abrams and the Russian T-14 Armata or the Iranian Zulfiqar tank, although its overall layout is more similar to the latter than the former. Probably it plays a bigger role in propaganda than on the battlefield.
