The first soldiers were recently put into the new (temporary) combat clothing. This was done in a camouflage pattern specially developed for the Netherlands. The honor went to the soldiers of the 43 Gemechaniseerde Brigade in Havelte. For the upcoming year, the entire military will receive the new outfit. The distribution of around 480,000 pants and jackets represents a major logistical effort for the Defense Clothing Company.
Both temporary and final combat clothing was implemented in the new so-called Dutch Fractal pattern. The camouflage pattern is available in green variants for the Korps Mariniers, Koninklijke Luchtmacht, and Koninklijke Marechaussee. The Koninklijke Marine will receive a blue variant. The unique pattern provides better camouflage in different environments and blends better with other patterns.
Slick, the fractal Dutch soldiers...
