NGSW: The rifle with standard suppressor

The US Army recently selected SIG Sauer's application for the "Next Generation Squad Weapons" program of the US Army. An interesting aspect of the program is that the new rifle, the XM5, will be the first suppressed service rifle of the US Army. However, this is not the first time the US Army has been interested in suppressors. In this video, THE ARMOURER'S BENCH take a look at the US Army's first exploration of suppressors a century ago and examine what we know about the NGSW suppressors designed by SIG Sauer.
