DATALOCKER:

Latest security certification is available

01/02/2025

DATALOCKER is represented on the FIPS 140-3 Modules-In-Process List of the US standardization authority NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) with multiple storage devices. This underscores their pioneering role in the field of highly secure USB storage media. The external hard drive DL4 FE, the USB stick Sentry 5, and the microSSD drive Sentry K350 have all passed tests for FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification.

DATALOCKER initially received 90B certification for the storage devices, which relates, among other things, to the generation of random numbers and the use of secure entropy sources - an important prerequisite for secure encryption and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification by NIST.

Another special feature: In contrast to other encrypted USB storage media, existing DataLocker drives of types K350 and DL4can be updated from FIPS 140-2 to FIPS 140-3 via firmware update. This ensures that customers can continue to use their existing storage devices and update them to the latest certification standard without the need for costly new purchases. A major advantage for companies and organizations that already use such FIPS-certified DataLocker products.
