In order to be able to communicate optimally during military operations, numerous Push-to-Talk adapters (PTT) were previously required. With the new 3M Peltor ComTac PTT, 3M has now developed a maintenance-free product that is compatible with the common radio systems used in the German military, making additional PTTs unnecessary.
The new PTT solution from 3M allows for quick and easy switching between different radio devices. All that is needed is to connect the respective adapter cable and the device is immediately ready for use. Another product advantage: the 3M Peltor ComTac PTT does not require its own power sources, such as a battery. Instead, it draws its power from the connected communication systems. This makes the device not only lighter than other PTTs, but also completely maintenance-free.
Intuitive operation via universal push-to-talk button
The device is operated very intuitively via a large universal push-to-talk button. With the help of another switch, the microphone can be permanently turned on or off in intercom mode. It is compatible with numerous military handheld radios and the latest on-board communication systems "SOTAS" and "BV25". These are installed in numerous combat vehicles, including the Leopard II, GTK Boxer, Puma, or Marder.
Powerful duo for tactical operations
When combined with the 3M Peltor ComTac XPI headset, not only communication via radio is possible, but also the perception of ambient noises. At the same time, hearing is optimally protected in noisy environments. The electronic, level-dependent headset also offers software-controlled volume adjustment of radio signals. The wearer benefits especially when using the headset together with earplug-style hearing protection. This allows for flawless radio communication even in high noise environments.
