Magazine pouches that are suitable for different magazines and calibers offer flexibility and versatility. At the same time, they save money and simplify logistics. With the Rushingle for rifles and the Pistolerance Gen. 4 for pistols, TIGER TAILOR has designed two magazine pouches that can accommodate multiple magazine types and sizes. This means there is no need to buy new magazine pouches when switching weapons or calibers. In addition, these magazine pouches are supplied with three additional retention systems.

Material and workmanship

Depending on the color, either polyester laminate or polyamide laminate is used, both treated with IRR. Polyamide is the strongest textile raw material. Equipment made from polyamide is therefore even more robust and dimensionally stable than clothing or gear made from polyester.

This is where first-class workmanship becomes apparent. The holes and PALS slots are laser-cut.

Inside the pouches there are loop Velcro surfaces on the inner side to secure the plastic inserts.

Both the Rushingle and the Pistolerance use an injection-molded plastic part. To ensure that these inserts are held securely in the magazine pouches, they are equipped with hook Velcro.

Pistolerance Gen. 4

The Pistolerance Gen. 4 sets new standards for pistol magazine pouches. Its adaptability to any task and any operational environment is a key advantage. It is compatible with 9 mm double-stack magazines from Glock, Sig Sauer, and others, and can be adapted to changing conditions.

In the quick-draw version, only the active retention system with the thermoplastic insert is used. If elastic retention alone is not sufficient for rapid access to the magazines in special tactical situations, an elastic cord with pull tab can be installed. For example, if you are operating in an urban environment and want to protect the magazines from theft, this special flap is ideal. It is height-adjustable and therefore also compatible with magazine extensions. It is possible to combine the different retention methods.

Unlike most manufacturers, the flap on this model is not attached inside the magazine pouch with Velcro, but on the back using the MOLLE attachment straps. We show you how this flap is installed in the section below.

The Pistolerance Gen. 4 is capable of carrying various other items with or without the insert, such as tools, flashlights, or duty knives.

Only one PALS row is required for attachment to a belt or MOLLE/PALS belts.

Rushingle

The universal magazine pouch from TIGER TAILOR is suitable for a wide variety of magazines of different shapes and with different locking systems.

Due to its construction and design, the Rushingle is particularly suitable for the secure transport of ammunition, smoke grenades, energy drink cans, tasers, and other smaller items such as a notebook, a pen, chem lights, a first-aid kit, or a radio.

An opening at the bottom allows the volume to be increased so that longer magazines or smoke grenades can also be accommodated.

The flap strap features a laser-cut opening through which the magazine pouch can be opened. It is easy to operate, whether with or without gloves.

Removing the magazines is smooth and effortless.

When inserting, the locking mechanism of the respective system is noticeably engaged at the stop. With the plastic insert, two inward-bent lips can be seen. These ensure that the magazine is held securely. When reinserting, a slight resistance can be felt, giving confidence that the magazine is properly seated.

Without the plastic insert, multiple magazines can be carried in the magazine pouch.

The volume of the magazine pouch can be adjusted using a bungee cord.

Only two PALS rows are required to attach the magazine pouch.

Installing the flap

The height of the flap can be adjusted to the size of the object. In this case, a magazine from the G36 rifle.

In the following step, the attachment straps are fed through the slots of the flap. In the next step, the straps are threaded through the slots on the back of the magazine pouch.

Now you can achieve an extremely secure hold by tightly weaving the flap, as is customary with MOLLE/PALS.

In the end, it should look approximately like the image shown.

Using the steps shown above, the flap as well as the magazine pouch can be attached to MOLLE/PALS-compatible tactical equipment. The magazine pouch sits rock solid.

Installing the plastic insert

With the help of the flap and a ruler, the plastic insert can be installed quickly.

The position of the flap should be chosen so that part of the inner Velcro of the pouch is covered. It is recommended to use a ruler or a strip of paper.

Push the Tiger Tailor insert down to the bottom of the pouch, ideally all the way down.

Then pull out the flap strap and the ruler and press the insert against the inner walls of the magazine pouch.

A visible seam allows correct positioning of the insert inside the pouch.

Conclusion

With the Rushingle and the Pistolerance Gen. 4, TIGER TAILOR has designed two extremely flexible and modular magazine pouches. Both pouches stand out due to their excellent construction and the use of robust materials. For the secure transport of magazines or other mission equipment, several options are included with the pouch at no additional cost. Choosing to use “multi-magazine” pouches can save money in the long term, especially for organizations and individuals who frequently change weapons.

The rifle magazine pouch, Rushingle, is available in black, sand, and multicam starting at EUR 40. The pistol pouch, Pistolerance Gen. 4, is available in black, blue, sand, and multicam starting at EUR 25.

Both pouches are available in the TIGER TAILOR shop or from retailers that carry the brand.
