The USA is set to receive new GLOCK V SERIES models starting November 30, featuring internal modifications to prevent the installation of illegal "GLOCK Switches" for continuous fire. Consequently, production of all existing GLOCK models up to Gen5 will cease, although spare parts will still be available.
Yes, you read that right, the USA is set to receive new GLOCK models, the so-called GLOCK V SERIES. From the outside, they are supposed to look the same, but there are changes on the inside. The trigger mechanism is to be modified so that it will no longer be possible to install “GLOCK Switches.” These (illegal) parts enable full auto fire with GLOCKs. Starting from November 30, the V models are to be delivered in the USA. There is still no information on when and if these will come to the market in Europe.
With the introduction of the V models in the USA, however, ALL existing GLOCK models up to Gen5 will no longer be produced. Spare parts are to remain available. Here is a list of which models will no longer be produced in the USA starting November 30:
