The Bundeswehr has chosen Dutch company DEFENTURE to develop a new vehicle for Special Forces Command. The vehicle, called Defenture Mammoth, is based on the proven GRF 5.12 platform.
The Bundeswehr has commissioned the Dutch company DEFENTURE with the development and production of a new vehicle: The Special Forces Command needs a mobility platform for various missions, specifically designed for military end users. The platform of choice is the Defenture Mammoth, a 9-ton vehicle based on the proven GRF 5.12 platform.
This platform is also utilized by the Dutch Korps Commandotroepen (SOF) and other countries. The modular design of the all-wheel drive, highly mobile vehicles allows for optimal preparation for the specific mission. The Germans are looking to procure a Medium Reconnaissance and Combat Vehicle Special Forces and a Medium Tactical Support Vehicle Special Forces. A total of 80 vehicles are to be procured.
