New equipment for the Slovenian army.

The Slovenian Army is getting new equipment: Novelties for the Slovenian Army uniform were presented by Veronika Vrhunc from the Logistics Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in Ljubljana. These include new combat uniforms, including clothing made of fire-resistant or flame-retardant materials as well as winter camouflage.

The new fire-resistant clothing is made of fireproof material with graphene. "We have also updated the winter camouflage suit, which is intended for soldiers of the Slovenian Army who work in the snow. At the same time, we also presented other combat uniforms made of new fabric, polo shirts, lighter combat uniforms, summer shoes, summer and winter underwear, tactical summer and winter t-shirts," said Vrhunc. Aleš Lebar, also from the Logistics Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, presented new field living equipment. It provides effective protection against weather and other factors and consists of a sleep set (winter and summer sleeping bags), a self-inflating sleeping mat, poncho, tarp, and gaiters. The tarp and winter poncho are innovations that have not yet been used in the Slovenian Army. New or modified carrying equipment will also be introduced: a 90 and 30-liter backpack, as well as a belt for weapons and ammunition.

As Colonel Anže Rode, President of the Commission for Uniforms and Insignia of the Slovenian Armed Forces, emphasized, Slovenian soldiers are being equipped with the most modern equipment available on the market. It is made of high-quality materials that provide adequate protection under all conditions. SAF soldiers will be re-equipped for another period of 10 to 15 years and will be able to work under all climate, land, and weather conditions.
