What? Is that price already? The NT1431 is a binocular night vision device that is state-of-the-art. Robust, light, and extremely economical. You can say this: starting at 6,790 euros for a night vision device. The first version was reviewed here on SPARTANAT. With the A2 variant, the housing has been further optimized in terms of function and stability. In addition to an improved auto-gating function, a manual gain function is now available. An integrated IR illuminator with internal status display is already integrated into the bridge.
The weight of the NT1431 A2 is between 500 and 550 g depending on the version.
The lightweight, glass fiber-reinforced housing is extremely resistant. High-quality PVS-14 eyepieces and lenses ensure high detail sharpness and individual diopter adjustment.
Upon request, the NT1431 A2 is available with the latest Photonis 4G+ Onyx 2400FOM tubes. With the manual gain function, the brightness/gain of the tubes can be adjusted via the push-turn knob. As usual, the user has a deactivatable, sensor-controlled shut-off function when flipping up.
As the first device in Europe, also for commercial use, the NT1431 A2 is equipped with original US MIL-SPEC lenses and eyepieces which ensure the highest detail sharpness to the edge. This creates an extremely pleasant and clear image, free of distortions and warping. The device remains ITAR-free!
The NT1431 A2 is assembled according to the strictest US regulations and collimated on state-of-the-art test equipment.
An AA battery powers the device for up to 16 hours. An optional battery compartment takes four 1.5V AA batteries and extends the runtime to up to 60 hours. The battery compartment is equipped with a 360° IR strobe.
The device can be easily operated even in stressful situations, intuitively, with a simple push button. Lenses and eyepieces are equipped with a grippy knurling and can also be operated with gloves. The battery compartment cover can be opened and closed without tools.
The NT1431 features a sensor-controlled shut-off function when flipping up. When folding down, the electronics ensure a late switch-on point to prevent the user from being illuminated.
For more comfortable wearing in the raised state, the monoculars can be swiveled to the helmet, reducing the leverage effect. When the night vision goggles are folded down, the monoculars can be individually swiveled up if they are not needed. A stop screw ensures that when swiveling the monoculars back down, they return to their original position.
Depending on the application, the night vision device is equipped with Generation 2+ or Generation 3 tubes. The most powerful version of Generation 2+ is equipped with Photonis 4G+ tubes, with approx. 2400 FOM.
For those who are particularly pleasure-seeking: To increase performance, the NT1431 can be supplemented with an F-COD, Fused Clip On device.
The new NT1431 BNVD is available directly from IEA-MIL-OPTICS starting at 6,790 euros - depending on the desired tube.
