New at the top: the MTEK Flux helmet

10/23/2015By Redaktion

More helmets are needed in the country. Preferably with new, innovative designs. That's what the MTEK Flux Helmet offers, which will be hitting the market soon (around mid-December). The image above shows it in a full configuration with additional ear protection. We'll show you what's behind it.

One very unique feature of this helmet is that all accessories and straps are attached to the helmet without the need to drill holes through the shell. Various grooves are provided and directly molded into the shell. The helmet rail may look similar to Ops Core at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it uses the Magpul MLok system. This allows for a variety of rails and other mounts to be easily attached.

The helmet shape is more adjusted to the head shape than traditional helmet designs. The interior is a multilayer padding that is intended to provide ideal comfort. Looks cozy.

Currently, the carbon version is available for about $630 on pre-order in V and S versions. "V" stands for Vent, meaning with ventilation slots, and "S" for Solid, meaning no holes in the shell. The ballistic shell is expected to hit the market soon.
