NATO procures RBS 70 Bolide guided missiles

SAAB has received an order for RBS 70 Bolide missiles from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). The order is worth 350 million Swedish Krona and deliveries are expected to be completed by 2027.

The RBS 70 system is in use in more than 19 countries, with 1,600 RBS 70 systems and over 18,000 missiles delivered. The Bolide missile is the third generation of SAAB surface-to-air missiles for all targets and short ranges. With the Bolide missile, the RBS 70 system is able to engage the entire threat spectrum from fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft to small targets such as cruise missiles and UAVs, with a range of over nine kilometers and an altitude coverage of over 5,000 meters.
