Multispectral camouflage for the Fennek

The reconnaissance vehicle Fennek is getting a new camouflage from the Bundeswehr: The Mobile Camouflage System (MCS) from Saab is tailored for the vehicle. The MCS provides full multispectral protection. Additionally, it has "CoolCam" features that reduce thermal build-up inside the vehicle in hot climates.

The Mobile Camouflage System is not entirely new: The Bundeswehr introduced it in 2008 under the name Multispectral Mobile Camouflage System (MMT) for combat vehicles such as the Marder, Panzerhaubitze 2000, Leopard tank, GTK Boxer, and Bergepanzer Büffel.
