More Patria 6x6 vehicles for Ukraine
Ukraine's Defense Minister Shmyhal announced the receipt of 21 Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers from Latvia, to be used by the Special Operations Forces. By 2025, Ukraine will have received 42 armored vehicles in total. Latvia also contributed 12 CVR(T) combat reconnaissance vehicles and supported the Shelter Coalition.
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Shmyhal announced that Ukraine has received 21 Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers from Latvia. These vehicles will be deployed with the Special Operations Forces. In total, by 2025 Ukraine has received all 42 promised armored vehicles. Latvia also transferred 12 CVR(T) combat reconnaissance vehicles. The minister also expressed gratitude for Latvia’s additional contribution of €2.2 million to the PURL initiative and its financial support for the Shelter Coalition.
