The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 by TASMANIAN TIGER is a high-demand medic backpack designed for immediate life-saving care. It features a modular and compact design, adjustable carrying system, and various compartments for organized storage. Suitable for medical and other applications, it excels in comfort, efficiency, and durability.
The requirements for a medic backpack are high. It must contain the essentials for immediate life-saving care, with a focus on hemorrhage control, airway management, breathing support, wound care, as well as PPE, pain relief, and possibly antibiotics. The medic backpack should be modular, compatible, and robust, while being able to store the necessary materials compactly. With the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18, TASMANIAN TIGER has developed a medic backpack that meets high demands. Because every second counts. Today we take a closer look at the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18.

The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 has compact dimensions (46 x 25 x 17 cm) and a volume of 18 l. The materials used are CORDURA 500 Den and Tegris. The weight is 1.93 kg. The color Stone Gray Olive IRR complies with the IRR camouflage standards of the German Bundeswehr according to TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281 (IRR 650–1250 nm / 10–42%).

TASMANIAN TIGER uses the padded-back carrying system on the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18. It consists of lightweight back padding that allows air to circulate in the center. The system is designed for use with plate carriers.

The removable shoulder straps can be flexibly adapted to the intended use and can be stowed away or removed if necessary. They allow individual adjustment, even when a plate carrier is worn.

Using so-called snap hooks from Woojin at the top and bottom, the shoulder straps can be completely removed.

In the lower section of the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18, the shoulder straps are attached to a D-ring via a loop system. This makes removal easier.

The shoulder straps are then stowed here behind a Velcro closure.

If you do not want to remove the shoulder straps completely, you can choose the faster option.

To do this, open the Woojin buckles and tuck in the shoulder pads.

The lower part is inserted into the side slots.

The carrying system is complemented by a length-adjustable and removable hip belt.

The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 can be carried horizontally and vertically. The side handles provide carrying comfort and can be used for transporting injured persons.

On the top lid there is a scissors pocket with a Fastex buckle and paracord. Various models of rescue shears can be stored in it.

Laser-cut holes integrated on the sides also allow tourniquets to be attached using bungee cords and cord locks. A total of up to four tourniquets can be attached to the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 for quick access. Both the bungee cord and cord locks are included in the scope of delivery.

The three pockets on the front offer a precisely coordinated internal layout with elastic attachments, mesh materials, and rubber loops for smaller medical devices and consumables.

At the bottom there is a compression pouch designed for a rescue sling. According to the manufacturer, this pouch can also hold a stretcher. This section is not removable.

The loops for horizontally hanging the opened Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 enable flexible and convenient use of the backpack. These are located on the top of both the front and back sides.

The front pockets are accessed via two diagonally running YKK zippers with paracord.

They also feature Velcro surfaces on the outside as well as a slot for chem lights, which can be used to mark the contents. Red can indicate bleeding, blue ventilation, for example.

The slot for chem lights can alternatively be used for a marker pen. The Velcro surface is used for attaching identifiers or a V-Lite.

The large olive-colored Velcro covers, which can be used to cover the Velcro areas on the front pockets, are writable on the back. They are included in the delivery.

The internal layout of the upper and middle front pockets is identical. On the back side there are two horizontal Velcro loop strips and four vertical daisy chains. Additional compatible modular pouches can be attached to the Velcro areas. Alternatively, items can be secured to the daisy chains using bungee cord.

Opposite there is also a permanently sewn elastic band with various loops. The different-sized loops are suitable for inserting various items.

On the back side of the lower pocket there is an open transparent insert compartment made of laminated square mesh. The advantage is that medical supplies can be stored in it ready to hand and easily identifiable.

On the opposite side there is a transparent pocket with Velcro closure and a red tab made of the same material. This pocket also has an elastic band with three loops.

The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 features a full-length zipper that allows it to be opened sideways. Its compact shape when opened enables a clear overview of the materials and quick removal.

The Tegris panels, as well as the transparent pocket and the infusion bag pocket, are fixed in the main compartment with Velcro. On the left, this area is equipped with laser-cut MOLLE/PALS rows made of loop Velcro, enabling modular expansion. In the center there are three horizontally arranged elastic bands, ideal for holding longer items or other elements.

The main compartment is equipped with two removable panels made of the lightweight and durable material Tegris, which can be individually configured. There is one removable SRPP panel (Tegris) measuring 230 x 135 mm and another measuring 230 x 260 mm.

Both feature a laser-cut hole and slot pattern for bungee cord fixation and Velcro attachment.

In addition, the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 has removable transparent pouches with Velcro strips and a slot for chem lights for color-coded marking.

The storage and secure transport of medical supplies is enabled by three rows of elastic bands of different sizes.

In addition, the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 from TASMANIAN TIGER includes a removable infusion bag pouch (240 x 215 x 75 mm). The infusion bag is secured in the center with a bungee cord. In the other pockets, the associated infusion equipment—consisting of spike, air vent, drip chamber, infusion tubing, roller clamp, connector, injection port/Y-piece, etc.—can be neatly organized.

On the inside, behind the loop Velcro with the MOLLE field, there is a marked slip pocket for patient cards.

On the other side, behind the Velcro, there is a document compartment located behind the red zipper. Inside this compartment there is also a stiff foam plate that cannot be removed.
The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 from TASMANIAN TIGER is equipped with a system that allows it to be attached directly to a plate carrier.

The necessary accessories are included. These are the 25 mm wide straps with snap hooks for the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 and Fastex buckles. QASM buckles and click-in buckles for attachment to the plate carrier are also included.

The first and easiest step: separate the lower part of the shoulder strap from the upper part, creating a part of the buckle that will be used later. Then remove the upper padded section of the shoulder strap and the hip belt.

What used to be challenging when attaching the QASM buckles has become easier with the new design. Simply attach it to a MOLLE/PALS loop on the front plate of the plate carrier. The opening of the buckle should face upward so the counterpart can later be clicked in.

The click-in buckles are attached to the sides of the cummerbund.

The webbing is adjusted to the required length and attached to the loop of the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 using the snap hook.

Now connect the upper webbing of the Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 to the QASM buckle on the plate carrier. Click!

Route the second strap once around the head and click it in at the front. Click!

The lower part of the shoulder strap is attached to the click-in buckles on the left and right of the cummerbund. Click!

The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 is now mounted on the plate carrier and can be easily put on and taken off using the buckles.
The Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 from TASMANIAN TIGER is a versatile and well-organized medical backpack. Its modularity, comfort, efficiency, and durability stand out. Key features include the fold-out design, multiple compartments, the adjustable carrying system, and the ability to attach it to a plate carrier. The efficient Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 is not only suitable for medical use but, due to its design, also for many other applications.
