MK13 Mod 0 BTV-EL Flash Bang

In Afghanistan they have already been seen, probably because the MK13 Mod 0 BTV-EL Sound & Flash grenade has gone through the testing phase there. Now it is certain that the product from American Rheinmetall Munitions (ARM), a subsidiary of German Rheinmetall Defence, will be procured. ARM will earn 28.8 million dollars, and from 2015 the grenade will be introduced to the troops. The MK13 Mod 0 BTV-EL is a highly effective stun grenade with the classic task field: it goes "Flash" and then "Bang" and then the enemy is not injured, but blinded and disoriented. In addition, the grenade is waterproof up to 20 meters – making it ideal for Navy SEALs.
