Thermal attachment device TigIR:

With 15mK through rain and snow

11/25/2024

ANDRES INDUSTRIES introduces the TigIR-Z15 for the first time, a thermal attachment device with a temperature resolution of <15mK, meaning that temperature differences of less than 0.015°C can still be distinguished. In contrast to currently used uncooled devices by Western military that typically only have a resolution of 40-50mK, this new performance class offers significantly better imaging capabilities in poor weather conditions such as fog or rain.

Even in light drizzle and poor thermal visibility, devices with higher thermal resolution provide a clear and high-contrast image.

Even at high magnification, individuals can be clearly identified at large distances.

So far, the 15mK devices are only available in civilian versions. They can be mounted by hunters on a STANAG rail or directly on a telescopic sight.

New: Drone search mode

The new generation of devices also features a special filter mode that is particularly well suited for detecting drones over longer distances. Even if the UAV only covers a single sensor pixel, the red outline provides a particularly striking display. Drones can be detected in the blue sky at distances of up to 1000m.

The high-flying aircraft can be identified, but even small insects are visible at a distance of 50m, as they are marked in red.

Several European armies are already solidifying plans to deploy these more powerful variants, following successful completion of initial long-term tests. What's new, however, is that for the first time since the start of the Ukraine crisis, significant numbers of civilian versions of the devices can be released. This includes the new TigIR-Z15. Apart from the absence of crosshairs, it is identical in construction to the military devices. However, since the TigIR was primarily developed as an attachment device, this does not diminish its performance. With the corresponding adapter systems also available, the device can be mounted in front of practically any telescopic sight.
Confident in the durability of their devices, Andres Industries is once again offering weekly rentals to private users and military personnel during the introductory period. Inquiries: [email protected]
