MILIPOL 21: Tactical boots with GORE-TEX Thermium-TEX

Combat boots are often worn over long periods of time and in challenging weather conditions. This is why Gore's technology stands out with its patented temperature zone mapping: The ultra-thin insulation is strategically placed in temperature-critical areas of the foot. New generation of high-performance combat boots thanks to high-tech insulation

The basis of THERMIUM® insulation is the unique combination of PTFE and Silica Aerogel, a material known for its extremely low thermal conductivity. This creates an insulation technology that provides unparalleled thermal comfort because it is ultra-thin, very light, and non-compressible. The insulation is only 1.7 millimeters thick and can be easily and seamlessly integrated into existing designs. At the same time, THERMIUM® is the first insulation material that can be integrated outside of the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane. When combined with the GORE-TEX laminate, it creates a high-tech combat boot that provides warm and dry feet to military and security forces even in wet conditions.
