Saab secures an $81.8 million order for Carl-Gustaf ammunition and AT4CS RS systems from the US Armed Forces, to be delivered in 2024. The contract allows for orders over five years, serving the US Army, SOCOM, and USMC.
Saab has received an order for Carl-Gustaf ammunition and AT4CS RS systems for the US Armed Forces. The order value is 81.8 million USD (812.7 million SEK) and deliveries will be made in 2024.
The delivery order is placed within an IDIQ contract (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) signed between Saab and the US Army in 2019, allowing the customer to place orders for Carl-Gustaf ammunition and shoulder-fired AT4 over a period of five years.

The Carl-Gustaf ammunition and AT4 systems under this contract will be used by the US Army, U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and the US Marine Corps.
Saab's Carl-Gustaf system (referred to as MAAWS in the US) has long been proven in the US military. The reloadable multipurpose system has been in service in the US since 1990 and became a recognized program for the US Army in 2013. In 2018, the US Army announced that it will acquire the latest version of the weapon, the Carl-Gustaf M4 (known as M3A1 in the US).
