The Lid System

The lids of all magazine pouches are firmly integrated and not separately removable.

The magazine pouches from SAVOTTA come equipped with a protective lid that is secured with an insert tab and/or Velcro to ensure the safety of the magazines or items carried inside. 

The Velcro ensures that the pouch remains securely closed even when half-empty. It can be closed quickly without the need to use the insert tab. The hook plate can be covered with an integrated cover tab to ensure silent operation.

The lid is closed with an insert tab reinforced with polyethylene and a patch. Compared to buckles, snap buttons, or just patches, an insert tab is very mechanically simple but extremely reliable.

This system is almost identical to the way the attachment straps are attached to the SAVOTTA Zipper-GP-Pouch 3x3 etc., only shorter and with a grab tab for quick opening. The insert tabs can easily be inserted into the tunnel under the fleece cover, where they are securely attached.

The magazine pouches are characterized by easy handling and operation. To release the Velcro or pull the insert tab out of the tunnels, you simply need to pull on the tab.

Construction of the Magazine Pouches

For the magazine pouches presented here, SAVOTTA uses 1000D Cordura and PES webbing. Both materials are an excellent composition and combination of resistance to fading, abrasion, rot, mold, maintenance, durability, and shape retention.

The magazine pouches are equipped with a surrounding rubber cord that allows both the circumference and holding power to be adjusted. This prevents the magazines from bouncing around and making noise while moving. Exceptions confirm the rule – this does not apply to the SAVOTTA 1-Mag Pouch AR15-AK. 

The holding power can be easily adjusted and secured at the bottom of the pouch with a cord stopper. 

Since this area in front of the bottom is usually most affected by metal magazines, it is reinforced in the magazine pouches.

Additionally, all magazine pouches are equipped with a PALS and belt-compatible attachment system.

The drain hole at the bottom prevents water accumulation.

SAVOTTA 1-Mag Pouch, AR15-AK

The present magazine pouch is designed for a single AR15 PMAG with Ranger Plate or Finnish RK magazine. However, it also fits many other magazines and accessories. Examples: RK 30-round magazine, AK-47 30-round magazine, AK-74 magazine, AR15 30-round magazine (with or without Ranger Plate), Glock 17 without light or a radio.

Like all other magazine pouches, this one comes with a protective cover that can be secured via a flap and/or Velcro. Here, the elastic, adjustable cord that provides the size and durability is missing.

SAVOTTA 2-Mag Pouch AR15

The development of this magazine pouch was specifically for two variants of the AR15 model, each having a capacity of 30 rounds. The elastic, adjustable cord ensures that the necessary size and hold are provided.

There is compatibility with other magazines and accessories. Here, even a G36 magazine fits in.

Some examples include: 30-round magazine for AR15, 30-round magazine for AR10, 20-round magazine for HK417, 20-round magazine, IFAK, smoke grenade, or radio. The elastic, adjustable cord provides the necessary size and hold.

SAVOTTA 2-Mag Pouch AK

The present magazine pouch was designed for two Finnish RK-30 round magazines that are used in the standard issue of the Finnish Armed Forces. The elastic, adjustable cord ensures that the necessary size and hold are provided. However, it also fits all sorts of other magazines and accessories. Examples: RK-30 round plastic magazine, AK-47 30-round steel magazine, AK-74 plastic magazine, AR-15 30-round PMAG with Ranger plate, IFAK, 0.5-liter bottle, or radio.
