M311 Comp from ANV KNIVES

The Czech company ANV KNIVES (Acta Non Verba) has downsized its knife M311 SPELTER and introduced the new M311 COMP. Although both belong to the same series, they differ in size. The contour of the more compact knife has been reduced by 13% (235 mm). Despite its compact size, the M311 COMP is suitable for a variety of extreme situations. ANV KNIVES has provided us with this version of the knife, which we now present to you.

The M311 COMP is delivered in a sturdy box. It is equipped with a Kydex sheath with a Malice clip and a paracord lanyard. Additionally, a portfolio of ANV knives is included, which makes you yearn for more products from ANV KNIVES (Acta Non Verba).

The M311 COMP weighs 286 g, is 275 mm long, has a blade length of 110 mm, and a blade thickness of 5 mm. 

The Swedish Elmax steel is world-class and is used for the fixed ANV swedge blade with full tang construction. The blade is exceptionally sharp upon delivery and retains its sharpness even after demanding tasks such as splitting wood. 

In the development of the knife, the manufacturer focused not only on functionality but also on aesthetic quality. As with the M311 SPELTER, one side of the blade features the ANV logo, while the other side displays the inscription “M311 COMP | ELMAX | CZECH REPUBLIC”.

The full tang is fitted with three jimpings. These notches improve the grip of knives and provide more control and power, which is especially important for tactical knives.

The jimpings are located on the top of the handle, with two at the upper and lower ends before the glass breaker.

The M311 COMP features a molded thumb ramp on the blade spine that allows for powerful cutting control and pressure application directly behind the edge.

The thumb ramp enhances grip, security, and control, especially during demanding cuts.

The icing on the cake is the hardened glass-breaking point at the end of the handle, which further increases the versatility of this knife.

The included lanyard can be threaded through the hole and attached. 

The M311 COMP, like the M311 SPELTER knife, features a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating on the blade, which reduces blade reflection, increases its corrosion resistance, and enhances the gliding properties of the blade.

Thanks to its ergonomic design, the handle of the M311 COMP fits perfectly in the hand, ensuring a firm and secure grip. It is made of Micarta, a trade name for highly compressed laminated material that is pressed under high pressure. As a result, the grip is very durable. The durability of the knife is also enhanced by the fact that its structure is mounted with four screws in solid threaded bushings. These screws, as well as the knife blade itself, are treated with a DLC finish. This feature has been inherited from the M311 COMP's predecessor model.

The handle feels great in the hand, whether wearing gloves or not. The knife can be used with various grip styles, such as saber, Filipino, or ice-pick grips.

Included in the delivery is a sturdy Kydex sheath featuring the ANV logo, which visually complements the overall concept of the knife. Hollow rivets and slots provide numerous attachment points. A generous, free-flowing drainage hole at the tip of the sheath allows for easy rinsing if needed, making cleaning significantly easier.

Two short attachment straps from 2M for MOLLE/PALS are screwed onto the Kydex sheath. They can be attached to any compatible duty belt or piece of equipment.

This attachment is suitable for various equipment parts on MOLLE-compatible systems.
